Stereo Panorama

This is a true stereo panorama that can be viewed in VR using a cardboard viewer. The panorama was made without using a stereo camera. For this example I used a standard DSLR, a Canon 5D Mark III, to shoot footage which was later processed into a stereo panorama.

To make these panoramas, I built a rig which mounted the various cameras (a dslr, or a Theta 360 camera) onto a Syrp Genie motion control head. I filmed the location as the Genie did a 360 rotation of the room. From the footage I was able to extract enough information to construct the two stereo views.
